Pickle making is the process of preserving or extending the shelf life of food by either anaerobic fermentation in brine or immersion in vinegar.
A Pickle Making Technician is responsible for preparation of all types of pickles from various fruits and vegetables through the process of washing, peeling, cutting/ slicing, curing/brining, blending, filling, oil topping, packaging and storage. Production involves four primary steps including harvesting, preservation, pasteurization, and final processing.
The course is aimed to train candidates for the job role Pickle Making Technician, in the food processing sector/ industry.
