About us

Greta Solutions Training Academy was registered in the Year 2011 and has ever since worked and focused on Developing state of art infrastructure projects keeping job market satisfaction as our top priority. Greta Solutions is an ISO 9001:2005 certified company. Most of our work is associated with the State Government of Meghalaya where we undertake skill training and development programs focusing on the unemployed youth of our society.

Our main area of expertise is skill training; we are humbled to have the great opportunity of being a part of educating and training numerous youths, unemployed citizens as well as keen learners in Skill Development Sector. We are putting in efforts across different districts in the state with an aim to cater to the demand and supply of skilled manpower. Our vision is to build the vocational and technical training framework, skill up-gradation, bettering of skills of the existing man power or recognition to prior learning and innovative thinking not only for existing job roles but also jobs that are to be created and trades that are quickly dwindling. Skills and knowledge are the motivating forces for the financial growth and economic development of any country, and India is no exception. As India moves progressively towards becoming a global knowledge economy, we must meet the aspirations of youth and aim towards skilling them with the best possible standards so we can fill the huge manpower vacuum across the globe. The skill development of the working age population is currently one of the top priorities for the country. This is evident by the progress India has made in recent years in this sector. However, till 2016 there was no comprehensive and standardized mechanism to assess the capability of training institutes. Such standardized mechanisms are necessary to be followed across every Industry and are crucial for holistic growth of the industry. Considering this gap, there was a requirement for a standardized methodology which would guide and assess the infrastructure and training capability of Training Providers and Training Centers to provide quality skill training. This gap has been filled by introduction of NSQF National Skills Qualification frame work which is a competency-based framework that organizes all qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude.

Greta Solutions Training Academy has produced a significant number of skilled candidates and we look forward to continue helping our youth make a living and also reach their full potential by bridging the gaps between unemployment and skilling. Our team of qualified trainers, administrators, counselors, technicians, designers and mobilisers engage the students both on a support level that they are comfortable with as well as discussing the everyday scenarios and putting our training into context, which makes for better quality & preservation of the knowledge we impart. Our training is based on qualification pacts in accordance with our accreditation requirements and as per NSDC -National Skill Development Corporation rules and regulations also keeping in mind Health & Safety measures for smooth functioning of the training program. All our training material is compiled using a modular competency system in line with the Sector skill council- SSC, ensuring that effective training is implemented.

We are honored to have been able to work under various government programs and departments in our skill development journey and have covered sectors such as i) Tourism& Hospitality ii) IT and Hardware iii) Food Processing iv) Agriculture v) Soft Skills vi) Electronics vii) Construction sectors etc.

Some of the sectors and programs we have worked with are as follows:

1) Vocational Training Provider under Skill Development Initiative Scheme (SDIS) of the Directorate General Training, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India to run Modular Employable Skills(MES) in sectors as follows:
i. Information and Communication Technology
ii. Banking
iii. Soft Skills

2) Training Partner under National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC): A Public Private Partnership Company with the primary mandate of catalyzing the skills landscape in India in the following schemes:

i. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana(PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by (NSDC). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry- relevant skill training that will help the in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

ii. Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY- NULM)- To reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. The mission would aim at providing shelters equipped with essential services to the urban homeless in a phased manner. In addition, the mission would also address livelihood concerns of the urban street vendors by facilitating access to suitable spaces, institutional credit, social security and skills to the urban street vendors for accessing emerging market opportunities.
i. Tourism& Hospitality Sector- Street Food Vendor: This unit is about cleaning the cart, loading the pre-cooked, semi-cooked or ready-to-cooked food along with cooking and serving aids, and waste disposal units, as well as carting to the location of vending.
ii. Food Processing Sector – Pickle Making: This unit is about preparation for production of various types of pickles through planning production and machinery utilization, organizing raw materials, packaging materials and machineries for production and preparing work area for hygiene and safety, and ensuring performance, efficiency and maintenance of process machineries and tools for pickle making, as per the specifications and standards of the organization.

3) Empaneled Training Partner under Skills Meghalaya funded by Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS) to provide quality trainings and placement linkages for wage employment as well as quality trainings and financial linkages for self-employment in Sectors as follows:
i. Tourism & Hospitality Sector: Street Food Vendor – Standalone
ii. Electronic Sector: Field Technician – Computing & Peripherals

4) Skill training provider under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the following sectors:
i. Electrical Assistant
ii. Plumber
iii. Masonry

5) Skill Training under MSME:
i. Information & Technology – Data Entry Operator
ii. Information & Technology- MS Office

6) Skill Training under Skills Meghalaya (MSSDS):
i. Tourism & Hospitality Sector -Street Food Vendor
ii. IT Sector- Field Technician & Computing Peripherals
